Associação Nacional de Farmácias (ANF) is a not-for profit organisation that represents 97% of all Portuguese Pharmacies. Aiming to explore the power of digital technologies, ANF challenged Karma to support the digital transformation of Portuguese pharmacies.

By offering a truly omnichannel experience (ecommerce website and mobile app as a complement of physical pharmacies), ANF expected to acquire new customers, deepen the relationship with existing customers and preempt the entry of players with aggressive business models.

Besides developing the omnichannel strategic vision, Karma designed and managed the implementation of the ecommerce and mobile app solutions. These solutions included digital ordering and purchase, pharmacies’ (and service pharmacies’) locator, e-prescription integration, stock information, wait lines integration, CRM integration, biometric data integration, personalised drug taking alerts, information on diseases and drugs, notifications of special offers and gamification features among others.

Karma also defined the go-to-market and PR strategy of ANF omnichannel experience, identified new monetisation opportunities (opportunities) and supported the training of the 2.000 pharmacies represented by ANF.
